GMF SUMMER Skin Balm is a hand made non-toxic natural skin moisturiser, with added zinc oxide. I developed balm to look after our family's skin especially in the hot summer months: it is smooth and nourishing for the skin, and when we discovered that it also offered us a natural protection from the sun, because of the added zinc oxide (non-nano), all our Christmases had come at once! We apply this in small amounts, and then reapply it after swimming or sweating. I have found that it generally lasts at least 30 minutes. I apply it more frequently for the fairer skinned members of our family, and I only need to reapply it after about an hour on my more olive skin. I find that it helps to keep the skin supple and moist in a climate that really puts pressure on the skin, especially in the Summer! Customers advise that it also makes a wonderful Barrier Cream for Nappy Rash!

Please note: it is not a sunscreen, and it has not been SPF tested (yet!). It is primarily a summer skin moisturiser, but we have found that it offers our family a wonderfully natural, toxin-free protection that we are happy with. 

It is currently available in the 30ml and 65ml size, in a non-toxic GLASS jar.

Application: GMF SUMMER Skin Balm should be rubbed into the skin that will be most exposed outdoors. You do not need to use too much at a time. If you choose to use it as a sunscreen, please use it in conjunction with sun safe measures, like hats, shirts and avoiding the midday sun. It is only mildly water resistant, so reapply every 30 minutes at least, especially after swimming and sweating.
