1) The blend of aromatic essential oils in this balm of Spikenard, Clary Sage and Geranium were chosen specifically because of their reputation with settling the symptoms of hormone imbalance. Hormone Imbalance might include any of the following symptoms: endometriosis, PMS, menopause, thyroid illness, inflammation, PMS, post partum depletion, teenage hormone imbalance and mood swings to name a few.
2) To ANOINT is to consecrate or to Make Sacred in a ceremony that includes the applying of aromatic oils. The oil of Spikenard in biblical times was one of the most precious and expensive oils, famously poured over Jesus by Mary of Bethany shortly before His crucifixion. Olive oil, with its ties to the olive grove in the garden of Gethsemane, has also been used for millennia to consecrate or anoint a person into their holy purpose. Application: 
Warm a small amount between your hands and apply to your neck (thyroid area), abdomen (womb area), and soles of feet.
